Expectation to PetersonÕs
When asked whether there is anything more that Peterson s could do to help
their efforts to attract the right students to the graduate program(s), the most
common answer was that they (deans and presidents) did not know what
Peterson s could do differently.
Several people suggested that Peterson s should focus on strategies for building
the demand for part-time students. Another suggested that Peterson s be more
descriptive in its publications and list the benefits of choosing a particular
university/college. This would help a student learn more about why they should
pick a particular institution.
In relation to the above stated comments about Peterson s services, there were
suggestions to reduce prices and to provide services online (if not already doing
so). One person was not aware that Peterson s was offering services to recruit
graduate students and suggested that the company market this aspect of its
services to universities.
Finally, there was a suggestion to provide peer information, an analysis of trends
in the environment, and assistance on development and care of governing
boards.
