Several people interviewed were aware that Peterson s provides services to
undergraduates, but they were unaware of services geared towards graduate
programs.

Apart from the high quality of Peterson s services and products and its well-
known name, some deans and presidents raised their concerns about the
price of Peterson s products.
ÒThey send a survey every year to fill out. We fill it out and return it to PetersonÕs
each year. Their prices are much too high.Ó
ÒPetersonÕs produces its guide books. The name is well recognized, but it is too
expensive.Ó
ÒThe guide is widely circulated. A lot of schools market through them. They are
widely known. Negatively, the cost is too high.
ÒWe use the guide that PetersonÕs provides, but the cost involved is not worth it.
The money could be used in different ways.
ÒPetersonÕs has been around for a long time. They are going from book to
electronic services. They are categorized as relatively expensive.

provided by Peterson s or have very vague knowledge of them. They often
referred the interviewer to another person, such as the dean, for comments.
