MOST FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS:
What lists does Peterson's offer?
Peterson's has been collecting higher education data for over thirty-five years.
Our list selection extends from the Higher Education community into Private
Secondary Schools, Vocational/Technical Schools, and Summer Programs.
How does Peterson's collect data?
Peterson's Research Department collects institution information via surveys,
then verifies the information via telephone for various publications. These data
are then keyed into the corresponding databases.
Mailing lists are pulled from the
Directory of College & University
Administrators
survey.
When was this information last updated?
Historically, Peterson's Research Department verifies and updates this data-
base in the fall. Throughout the year, information is updated when name and
address changes are submitted by our customers.
What is the procedure for getting count and cost estimates?
1.
Review the lists; list the titles/disciplines of interest on the order form
(page 7).
2.
Choose U.S. and/or Canada (all counts include both Canada and U.S.).
3.
Choose a degree level (2-year and/or 4-year and/or Graduate).
4.
Choose a format (labels for single use, diskette for single use or multiuse).
5.
Choose a sequence (if you're mailing bulk rate, the list must be in Zip
code sequence).
6.
You may choose additional options on the order form to target your lists
even more tightly, or you may order a phone list to follow up with potential
customers.
7.
Complete invoice to and ship to information (page 8) and sign and fax the
two-page order form to 609-896-4543.
What if I can't find the discipline I'm looking for?
Scan the brochure's subcategory listing. Since many disciplines fall into more
than one category but are only listed once in the brochure, you may find the discipline
you're looking for under another heading.
New disciplines are listed throughout
the brochure in green.
What is the turn-around time to receive a mailing list?
After you approve the count and cost, all orders take up to five working days to
produce, not including shipping time.
What is the difference between single use and multiuse?
Single use allows you to do one mailing within one year of ordering the list. The
cost is $100 per 1,000 and the minimum charge is $300.
Multiuse allows you to do an unlimited number of mailings within one year of
ordering the list. The cost is $400 per 1,000 and the minimum charge is $500.
How do I pay for the list?
You may pay by credit card or reference a purchase order number, or we can
bill you if you have established an account with Peterson's.
Did you know Peterson's can produce and deliver your mail campaign?
See page 9 for details on pricing.
Peterson's reserves the right to request sample mailing pieces and to approve or disapprove the
release of list(s) to any party. Peterson's may also require from any mailer a written agreement
guaranteeing appropriate use.
