14. (C)
August 17 is a Thursday, and Roman
Polski is in Group 1. Group 1 works in the
North Quad on Thursday.
15. (D)
Group 3 works in the South Quad on
both Friday and Saturday. Tom Monk is the
supervisor of Group 3.
16. (C)
August 26 is a Saturday, and no group is
scheduled for training on Saturday. The train-
ing supervisor, Captain Williams, should have
the day off.
17. (A)
C. Martens was arrested by Sgt. White.
Sgt. White made only one arrest, and that
arrest was for burglary. C. Martens must have
been arrested for burglary.
18. (D)
We know that Sgt. Liu made only one
arrest, and that arrest was for murder. We
know that B. Bailey was arrested for murder.
However, there were two arrests for murder,
and we do not know who the other murderer
was. Therefore, we do not know if Sgt. Liu
arrested Bailey or the other murder suspect.
19. (B)
The only thing we know about Hynes is
that Hynes lives alone. Hynes could have been
arrested for drunk driving. Dragoon does not
have a driver's license but could easily have
been arrested for drunk driving (and other
offenses) nonetheless. G. Farwell lives in
Heights; as Farwell's roommate, P. Herman
also lives in Height. The drunk drivers were
arrested by Sgt. Wales, who did not arrest any
residents of Heights, and Sgt. Gelb, who
arrested only residents of Park.
20. (B)
Put yourself in Mrs. Wagner's place.
The right and left directions will be apparent.
21. (D)
The answer should be clear from the
diagrams. If your answer disagrees, look again.
22. (C)
Choices (A) and (B) start right out going
the wrong way on a one-way street; choice (D)
starts out correctly but then goes the wrong
way on 33rd Avenue.
