right? Well, before you judge, ditch that pocket protector, stomp on that graph-
ing calculator, and throw out any thoughts like "math is too hard," because you've

Sure, we'll have instructions and answers and even some problems. But
before you look away in disgust and fling this five-ounce book filled with
fractions, decimals, and geometry at the nearest annoying relative or classmate,
give it a chance. Remember, we who write this also did our time in those brick-
walled funhouses called schools, with math teachers who went on and on about
isolating variables and keeping a neat notebook. Our goal is to show you that
math is easier than they made it look.

and across the planes of geometry, we'll show you how to make the most of
your time and brainpower.
