Remember, the SAT II: Subject Tests and the AP exams that
require essays will also require good grammar.
HOW TO USE THIS BOOK
This is a book you should work through from beginning to end. We'll
begin with the simple stuff and move gradually into more complex
stuff. There will be fun games or quizzes after each lesson to make
sure you're really paying attention. Even if you think you know all
you need to know about a certain concept, humor us and read it any-
way. You can never have too much knowledge!
At the end of the book, you'll find Appendix A, which lists the
most common grammar mistakes--and we'll tell you how to avoid
them. Appendix B has a few more games to help you practice your
skills in a fun way. (Yes, you can have fun and learn--even with
grammar!)
