(Biography)

Wilhelm Oehlschläger has been Head of the Human Resources Global & BHC Asia
Pacific Department of Bayer HealthCare AG's Animal Health Division since June
2002.

Wilhelm Oehlschläger was born in Cologne, Germany, on December 2, 1963. After
finishing school, he participated in a business training course at Bayer AG from 1983
to 1985. He then studied business administration at Cologne Technical College,
graduating in 1990.

In April 1990, Wilhelm Oehlschläger joined Bayer AG as an assistant to the Head of
Education and Training at the Uerdingen site. Three years later he transferred to the
Pharmaceuticals Business Group in Leverkusen, where he became Head of Human
Resources for Pharmaceutical Operations Leverkusen before moving to Bayer Inc.,
Canada, in 1997 to serve as human resources manager in Pharmaceuticals. After re-
turning to Leverkusen in 1999, Wilhelm Oehlschläger at first assumed responsibility
for the Human Resources Department of International Business Operations before be-
coming Head of Management Support & Information in November 2000.

Wilhelm Oehlschläger is married.
