Bayer HealthCare: A partner to veterinarians
in the interest of consumer protection

Berlin / Monheim "Consumers expect healthy, high-quality and safe food.
Responsible use of drug products by veterinarians to treat illnesses and ensure that
cows, pigs and poultry remain in good health is therefore indispensable," said
Christian Behm, Head of the Animal Health Division at Bayer Vital GmbH, on
launching the "Healthy animals for healthy food" information campaign at the
International Green Week in Berlin. Bayer Vital GmbH is the German sales
organization of Bayer HealthCare AG, Leverkusen.
Bayer HealthCare seeks to inform the general public about the purpose of animal
health products using targeted promotional activities, thus helping to overcome
possible prejudices. The company also provides targeted support for veterinarians and
farmers who, as a part of the food chain "from the stable to the table", bear
responsibility for safe and healthy foodstuffs and are likewise campaigning to better
inform consumers at events such as the Green Week. "We regard ourselves as
partners in the interest of consumer protection," said Behm.
