BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF ACTIVITY
1 Internship program
The stations use student interns in their
Production Department each semester,
providing an opportunity for students to gain
hands-on experience in broadcasting/tv
production. Student interns are supervised by
production staff.
2 University of Maryland Job Fair
On February 11, 2004, the stations participated
in the 27
th
Annual Multi-Ethnic Student Career
Job Fair at the University of Maryland.
Station personnel, including employees from
the human resources department, business
development department, marketing
department, and production department
attended the job fair.
3 American University Job Fair
On March 18, 2004, the stations participated in
a Job and Internship Career Fair at the
American University. Station personnel,
including employees from the human resources
department, marketing department, and
production department attended the job fair.
4 Northern Virginia Technology Council Job
Shadow Day
On March 12, 2004, the stations hosted two
high school students who are interested in
television careers, at the station all day.
Members of the stations' production
department supervised the students.
