This field contains the language of the document summary, if it is
different from the original language. Languages are listed in abbreviated form. The LS
field is a free-text field and cannot be searched with the = o p e r a t o r .

This field is only found in BA/RRM on CD and identifies the type of document the
citation represents. BA/RRM on CD contains the following Document Types: article,
book, book-chapter, meeting-document, meeting-report, review and abstract. Note that
the a b s t r a c t Document Type indicates that the original document was an abstract of a
meeting paper. Search multiple-word document types using hyphens.

This field contains the 2-digit volume, the 1 or 2-digit issue
number, and the 1 to 6-digit reference number of the corresponding record in
Biological Abstracts or Biological Abstracts/RRM.

The Update Code represents the year and quarter when the record was added to
BA on CD or BA/RRM on CD. This code allows you to search for references added
in the most recent update. Use the I N operator or use one of the following numeric
limit field operators to search this field:
