B
iological Abstracts/RRM (Reports, Reviews, Meetings) (BA/RRM) includes
references to meetings, reviews, books, and other media. Of the approximately 200,000
items indexed in BA/RRM each year, nearly 165,000 contain breakthrough information
presented at 1,500 worldwide meetings and symposia. About 20,000 references in
BA/RRM come from review articles.
Why should I use BA/RRM?
Since REVIEW ARTICLES usually contain extensive bibliographies, they provide a
broad-based list of references on a specific topic, making them an IDEAL STARTING
POINT for a comprehensive literature search. In addition, BA/RRM contains approxi-
mately 13,000 references to noncritical reviews of books, book chapters, and software.
BA/RRM also contains about 16,000 references to U.S. patents. Finally, international
meetings and symposia coverage is unmatched by any other reference. BA/RRM is the
only reference tool that combines this information together in a single publication.
BA/RRM is published monthly, cumulating in one volume each year. A Cumulative
Index is published every six months. The first Cumulative index covers the first six
months and the second covers the entire year.
BA/RRM contains U.S. patents from 1986-1989 and from 1995 forward. From
1980 to 1993, BA/RRM was published twice each month on alternate weeks
from BA.
