NATURE HUNT
EQUIPMENT:
One bag to be supplied by committee
PREPERATION:
Knowledge of plants and animals.
ACTION:
Each patrol leader will pick up instructions and bag from judge at
beginning of contest and the patrol will accumulate the requested items
during the afternoon and present them to the judge during the afternoon
and before the end of the time period.
NOTE:
All items are to be found during the 3 hour window of the Round Robin
events.
CROCAGATOR PIT
EQUIPMENT:
Three six foot Scout staves, four 6-foot lengths of lashing cord, one # 10
can, and 2-foot length of wire. Can and wire to be supplied by committee.
PREPARATION:
Knowledge of round lashing and teamwork.

-foot square pit.
The patrol will lash the three staves together. Then with the extended
poles, lift the pot of gold out of the pit and bring it to the judge for
inspection of lashings and spillage.
NOTE :
At no time will any Scout enter the pit and the Scouts will be 12 feet from
the pot of gold.
FIRST AID
EQUIPMENT:
Each patrol will provide two Scout staves 6 to 8 foot long and one strong
blanket.
The committee will supply one # 10 can, water and splints
PREPARATION:
Knowledge of all aspects of first aid
ACTION:
The committee will inform the patrol of the extent of the injuries for
which the patrol will perform first aid to the victim. When first aid is
completed the patrol will make a stretcher and place the patient on it.
Then place the # 10, can which is filled to the brim with water on the
patient and to properly carry him to a point 40 feet away with out spilling
any water.
NOTE:
At no time can anyone hold or guide the water can.
