11. FOOD STORAGE:
No refrigeration pits be dug. Food shall be stored in such a
manner as to stay clean and safe from animals.
12. LAMPS:
Only one propane lantern shall be allowed per patrol;. Scouts are
expected to carry and use flashlights.
13. UTENSIL SANITATION:
Patrols shall have two pot washing containers. One with soapy
water for washing and the other with clean water for rinsing.
Rinse water must have sanitizing tablets or bleach added.
14. KNIVES AND AXES:
All sheath knives shall be prohibited! Axes and bow saws shall be
permitted and shall be only used by Scouts who are qualified and
carry the "TOTE N' CHIP" card or wear the cooking merit badge.
Two Handed Axes ARE NOT ALLOWED IN CAMP!
15. GARBAGE DISPOSAL:
Patrols shall supply their own heavy duty garbage bags to collect
and deposit garbage. When full, these bags shall be deposited in
the dumpster at the parking lot. Absolutely no loose garbage.
16. Awards:
E.0.C.S 2003 Spring Camporee patches shall be given to all
Scouts and adults who have registered. Patrol awards shall be
given to those patrols who meet the various qualifications.
1.
Patrol flag competition awards for 1st, 2nd, & 3rd.
2.
Campfire skit or song 1st 2nd, & 3rd.
3.
Cooking citations for all patrols who score 80% of maximum
points [ at least 28 out of 35 points]
4.
Campsite inspection certificates will be awarded for 90% or
greater proficiency in the campsite score sheet [ at least 90
out of 100 points]. Which also shall be included in the overall
patrol score.
5.
Round Robin Certificates shall be awarded to each patrol, who
in the judges opinion, showed excellence in each event.
6.
Awards to 1st., 2nd. & 3rd. place patrol with highest total
points in Round Robin competition.
7.
Overall competition ---- ribbons for all participating patrols.
