patients and were higher obviously than those whose without mountain sickness reactions, mount
of conjunctival microvessels of high altitude cerebral edema patients increased, thin arteries and
veins were extensive, edema around vessels and arterial-vein short circuit formed. Animal
experiments proved that blood vessels of brain were extensive, the mount of opened microvessels
increased, the speed of cerebral blood stream slower and stasis_and leakage and bloody were
observed around the microvessels when exposed to hypoxia. The animal experiment in high
altitude area proved that, after enter plateau speedy, the ET and NO in brain release increased at
early stage, ET decreased 3 days late, NO keeping unchanged. SOD, GSH and _-endorphin in
brain increased and GSH-PX decreased notably as altitude increased and the time prolong, but the
level of MDA in brain were unchanged. Brain water content and brain wet-weight increased,
increasing of brain water content was positive correlation with the increasing of NO, SCD and
MDA and was negative correlation with GSH-PX when exposing to plateau hypoxia condition.
At the clinic treatment, we put forward first the roles of treated on the spot in high altitude
regions for acute high altitude cerebral edema, for many years, we insist that the rescued and
treated on the spot in high altitude regions, and using large dose dexamethason and anisodine
given by vein, and oxygen intake or carrying oxygen, using this ways to save more than 100 cases
and no death case. Our data show that plateau hypoxia can caused microcirculative serious
disturbance of brain to lead to high altitude cerebral edema happened, this disease should be
treated on the spots in high altitude regions .

Studying the characteristics of high altitude hemorrhagic shock to find the ways to rescue the
patients conveniently and quickly. Using hypobaric cabin to imitate plateau condition together
with study in plateau, investigated in vivo and in vitro the mechanisms of high altitude
hemorrhagic shock from molecular, cellular, and organic levels, as well anti-shock effect of
oxygenate hyperosmotic colloid solution. The results showed that the notable differences between
high altitude hemorrhagic shock and plain hemorrhagic shock. The former was more serious;
death rate was higher than later. The reasons were related to those factors: (1) The function of
pump of right and left ventricles decreased when high altitude hemorrhagic shock happened,
which caused decreased mount of oxygen carry. (2) The distortive ability and immune function of
erythrocytes was decreased distinctly, collections increased of erythrocytes and blood platelets
after high altitude hemorrhagic shock happened. (3)The toxicity substances of blood plasma of
high altitude hemorrhagic shock animal might active and then damage vascular endothelial cells
and enhance the ability of white blood cells to attach the walls of blood vessels. (4) The vascular
active peptide, oxide free radical and lysosomase took part in the process of high altitude
hemorrhagic shock and they play an very important role in disorder of microcirculation.(5)The
damage of function and structure of spleen, the barrier function of spleen decrease, which caused
enteromycin and bacteria entering blood and lead to enterogenous infection.(6)The oxygenate
hyperosmotic colloid solution resuscitation can extent the blood volume quickly, improve the
pump function of heart, increase the oxygen supplying and decrease the damage of tissue and
help to raise animal survive rate. We conclude that high altitude hemorrhagic shock was a process
of general inflammatory reaction of oxygen transferring and filling serious disturbance, infusing
oxygenate hyperosmotic colloid solution will helpful to resuscitation for it.
