rats were cultured in 3%, 10%, 20% 02 and the RNA was also extracted. 3) The changes
GAPDH, _-actin, 18sRNA, 28s RNA, and cyclophilin A gene expression were detected by means
of RT-PCR. Results: The content of GAPDH mRNA was increased in different hypoxic groups in
vivo and in vitro. However, other genes showed little alternation. Conclusion: GAPDH may
change its expression under hypoxia stress. As an extensively used inner standard in RT-PCR,
HPLC and solid hybridization, GAPDH should be carefully used in hypoxic study. The work was

This study was designed to analyze the different type of Arrhythmia among chronic mountain
sickness (CMS) in order to explore the effective treatment. Method: Ninety-three patients of CMS
were enrolled in this survey and their medical history and results of EKG & treatment records
were used for the analysis. Results: Arrhythmia was found in 73.1% of CMS patients. 25 of them
had Sinus tachycardia (26.9%), 8 Sinus bradcardia (8.6%), 2 Sinus arrhythmia (2.2%), 6 Atrial
fibrillation (6.5%), 3 Atrial premature beats (3.2%), 4 Premature ventricular beats (4.3%), 3 I
artioventricular block (3.2%), 1 II. artioventricular block (1.1%), 3 Left anterior fascicular block
(3.2%), 4 Uncompleted right bundle branch block (4.3%), 5 Complete right bundle branch block
(5.4%), 1 Paroxysmal supraventricular tachycardia (1.1%), 1 AV junctional escape beats (1.1%),
2 Atrial fibrillation with II. artioventricular block (2.2%). Conclusion: Complication of
arrhythmia in CMS is very high and it has some relationship with high pulmonary artery pressure,
which leads to dilation on right auricle and ventricle caused by the high altitude-induced hypoxia.
Therefore applying the medication to lower the pulmonary artery pressure, improve the condition
of nutritional myocardial, and control the infection and heart failure would make effects on
Arrhythmia treatment.

Objective: The goal of this study was to analyze the changes in plasma cardionatrin in
AHAPE patients. Methods: Measurements were obtained using radioimmunassay to measure
plasma cardionatrin from 43 children of AHAPE and 20 healthy children as control. Results: The
plasma cardionatrin level was significantly higher in the AHAPE group than that in the control
group (P<0.01). It was suggested that the cardionatrin level in subjects with acute hypoxia was
positively correlated with oxygen saturation. It is involved in the hemodynamic changes in the
pathophysiologic process in HAPE patients.

On the basis of our research work on Fufang Dangshen Pian(FDP) over the past thirty years,
the method of extracting effective components from Chinese herbs by the traditional decocting
has been recently changed into the modern technology extracting them with microwave at low
temperature, by which the five medicinal herbs of Dangshen, Shashen etc. were respectively
extracted with water at 50 for five minutes in the microwave extracting device by stirring, and
then filtered, concentrated and dried to obtain the extracts with higher purity. After the extracts
were fully mixed with polyethylene glycol-4000 as the amounts designed in the prescription, a
technology of preparing Fufang Dangshen Diwan (FDD) was established and a FDD product was
