HEADLINE FINDINGS

Most of the 1477 children surveyed own a mobile phone. They use them mainly at home evening and
weekends to call parents and friends. Very few use their phones at school. A large minority of children
pay their own mobile phone bills. Children like to share music with their friends and most of them play
music on the move. They spend money on downloading ring tones and other resources. A minority
access the Internet on their phones.

Where parents make rules for children's mobile phone use they relate to using their phone credits
