Question 10: Have you ever got bad messages or rude stuff on your phone?
Results
23% of girls and 16% of boys said they had received bad message on their mobile phones.
The messages ranged from unwanted sales texts to insults from friends they fell out with, and some
rude messages and images to quite scary and threatening calls.

I get junk texts and rings
I got a chain link message on my phone from a strange number, but that's all
I have but they were like chain mail so i deleted them. I only really have a couple of songs with
a few bad words in them

Only O2 messages which are annoying The phone companies should just cut all spam out of
our mobile diets
Extortionate adverts and threats
I have had a threatening message from Jamster, they said if you don't reply to this message
then you will be billed
Yes, I've I got one saying you have to give me £1,000 by monday or they will kill me
I sometimes get adverts which cost money even to read them
Once there was a rude message sent to my Uncle's phone but he deleted it straight away. It
was from a company that sends you messages and you have to pay for them
Only once when I was on the internet and a dating program poped up, but exept for that no.
Sometimes I get annoying mesages asking if I want to buy a ringtone
Yes, because once I bought a ringtone off the TV and they kept on taking credit off me. When I
tried to send a message saying stop it didn't work so I had to get a new sim card

Yes, I got told someone was going to kill me if i did't give them £10,000 so I went to my parents
and track the people down my calling the police

Yes, by a weird person, I don't now who
Yes, from a stranger
Yes, from people I dont know. Like rude jokes and I've never had anything rude on my phone
