PRINT AND ON-LINE MECHANICAL SPECIFICATIONS
Advertisements may be provided electronically via e-mail; CD-ROM or
plate-ready film negatives (right-reading, emulsion side down).
Advertisement must be provided complete; size as; incluidng all fonts,
images, logos, etc; separated to CMYK and be accompanied by a
separated, colour proof (for press approval). Broadcaster does not accept
any files created in office software packages. This includes any word
processor, spread sheet or presentation packages such as Microsoft
Office and Corel Office Suite. All advertisement provided electronically
will be pre-flighted, by our Art Director. There is an additional pre-
flighting charge of $68.00 NET for each advertisement. Broadcaster also
accepts film negatives (black and white, two, three and four colour), right
reading emulsion side down. A separated, colour proof must accompany
film negatives, to be used for press approvals. All advertising material,
either electronic or print must be supplied to Broadcaster's
specifications. We will provide both print and electronic mechanical
specifications in advance to advertisers. All additional production work,
completed by Broadcaster, is an extra and will be charged at our
prevailing rates. Broadcaster guarantees colour ONLY, to Magazine
Advertising Canadian Specifications AND ONLY if above colour proofs are
supplied. Original artwork, photographs, repro proofs, PMTs, positive
film, computer disks, CD ROMs, and electronically delivered material are
accepted (to Broadcaster's specifications only), with necessary
conversion to plate ready film negatives, modifications to existing
artwork or computer disks, typesetting/assembly/additional film work
are all charged as an extra and will be invoiced at our prevailing rates.
All advertising material will be destroyed, by the Publisher, unless
otherwise instructed, within one year from the date last used. Publisher
reserves the right to reject any advertising which he feels is not in
keeping with Broadcaster's publishing standards.
COPY & CONTRACT CONDITIONS
Liability for damages allege to arise from errors in advertisements is not
accepted by the Publisher beyond the actual amount paid for the space
used by that part of the advertisement containing the error, regardless of
onus of blame for such error. Liability is not accepted for non-insertion
of any advertisement. All copy and layouts are subject to Publisher's
approval. The Publisher reserves the option to insert above or below any
copy the word "Advertisement". The Publisher reserves the right to
reject any advertising which he feels is not in keeping with the
publication's standards.
