Popantel Allwormer Tablets for Dogs
Composition:
Each tablets contains: Praziquantel 50 mg, oxantel embonate 542 mg,
pyrantel embonate 143 mg.
Action:
Broad spectrum anthelmintic.
Indication:
Control of roundworms (Toxocara canis and Toxascaris leonina),
whipworm (Trichuris vulpis), hookworm (Ancylostoma caninum, A.
braziliense, Uncinaria stenocephala) and tapeworm (Dipylidium
caninum, Taenia ovis, T. hydatigena, T. Pisiformis, and Echinococcus
granulosus) in dogs.
Dosage/Administration:
Weigh dog before treatment. Fasting is unnecessary. Administer 1
tablet/10 kg bodyweight; round up the dosage to the nearest 1/4
tablet.
Dogs should not be fed offal. Treat dogs in hydatid areas at least every
6 weeks. For other tapeworms treat every 3 months. For the control of
roundworm and hookworm, treat at 2, 4, 8 and 12 weeks of age and
then every 3 months. For whipworm, treat every 6 to 8 weeks after 3
months of age.
Pregnant and lactating bitches. Treat prior to mating, 10 days before
whelping and 4 weeks after whelping.
