Developing novel proteins
There is a growing need for new or improved proteins for vaccines
and therapeutic application (
e. g.
proteins as antidote to C/B warfare
agents). The unique expertise and proprietary technologies of

Protéus' L-ShufflingTM-based directed evolution approach offers a

L-ShufflingTM
is a proprietary directed evolution technology
developed and patented by Protéus to provide significant

previous
gene
shuffling

Rapid culture-free tests
Protéus has developed a robust and user-friendly test for rapid
culture-free
detection and quantitative assessment of the presence
of certain specific groups of viable micro-organisms, whether
cultivable or not. The method is suited for detection and/or
quantification on
surfaces
or
liquids
of defined groups of micro-
organisms by the detection of enzymatic activities.
DNA/RNA-based assays
Protéus has developed customized protocols for extracting genetic
material from a variety of samples such as air, soil, sporulated
bacteria or body fluids and for eliminating of interfering compounds.
Real-time amplification techniques are routinely used to develop
assays for the detection, identification and quantification of
pathogenic targets. Primers, probes and protocols are designed to
achieve a perfect fit with the required speed, specificity, sensitivity,
automation and ease of use.
Protein-based assays
Functional analysis of proteins is a key to researching immune
response against invading pathogens, or to assessing their sensitivity

enzymes

unprecedented half-lives under extreme conditions of temperature or
pH have been successfully developed.
Taking advantage of its unique access to biodiversity from extreme
