Suzuki - Piano PDFeb 2005
Following consultation with teachers and members of the Professional
Development Committee, it has been decided to put new procedures in
place for Graduations (commencing in 2005) to ensure that appropriate
standards of performance are being consistently achieved at all Levels.
Attendance at this PD session is vitally important for all
teachers auditing or entering students for Graduations.
Your comments and suggestions are welcome on this day which will serve as
an information session as well as an opportunity to `test run' and `fine tune'
materials to be used by Auditors
.
The second topic for the afternoon will be on developing a fluent technique
from the very beginning hand position with special attention to the
thumb, flexibility of hand, wrist and fingers etc.
There will also be a 30-minute `Show `n Tell' segment in which teachers
are invited to give a 5-minute talk/demonstration of ideas, motivational
aids and gadgets etc which they use to inspire their students to develop
good technical habits. Please tick the box on the registration form if you
would like to bring some `Show `n Tell'!!
