from the Union Baptist
Seminary of Louisiana.

Elder Debra Brown Morton,
a daughter of Greater St.
Stephen, became his wife
in December of 1977.

He was consecrated Bishop
on March 19, 1993.

It was prophesied before his birth that he would carry the mantle of his
father and preach the Gospel with a special anointing.
Since 1972, Bishop Paul Morton has been involved in the nurturing and
development of Greater St. Stephen Missionary Baptist Church. From its humble beginnings
as a 600 seat sanctuary, it has , through the leading of the Holy Spirit, become the Greater St.
Stephen Full Gospel Baptist Church with more than 18,000 active members, " One Church In
Three Locations."
Bishop Morton continues to spread the Word of God through the success ful " Striving for
Excellence" daily radio broadcast which is aired in several areas nationwide, several local
television broadcasts and a nationally televised program on The Word Network. He has
written many books including the popular " It's Time For the Outpouring" and "What is the
Full Gospel Baptist Church?" In addition to being a dynamic preacher and most proficient
teacher, Bishop Morton is a world renowned singer having recorded five albums with the
Great er St. Stephen Mass Choir.
His commitment to the community is evident by his participation on the Board of One
Church-One Addict and the nation's leading gospel magazine, GOSPEL TODAY. He is
also the president of the Paul S. Morton, Sr. Scholarship Foundation and the President of the
Great er St. Stephen Full Gospel Baptist College of Ministry and Theological Seminary.
