The IFSR Silver Wheel Award may be awarded to any Rotarian or
Associate who renders exceptional and exemplary service in support of IFSR activities
or the Scout Movement worldwide. The awards may be given annually as proposed by
this Committee if approved by the Executive Committee. This Committee will establish
the nomination process. Any member may nominate a Rotarian for this award.
e) Conventions and Jamborees. This Committee, appointed by the
Chair, shall be responsible for arranging the IFSR activities during each Rotary
International Convention, and at each International Scouting Jamborees, and other
significant world-wide Scouting or Rotary events, etc.
It shall be responsible to arrange both booths and actual IFSR meetings,
in coordination with the Regional or Sectional IFSR representatives in that geographic
area. It may work with the Recognitions Committee regarding any special items to be
created in recognition of that IFSR event.
IFSR Sections and Regions shall be responsible to this Committee for
organizing IFSR activities and meetings at National Scouting Jamborees
f) Publications and Web Site. The Committee will oversee and
coordinate the information material produced for the benefit of IFSR members. This
Committee will insure that The Scouting Rotarian (official newsletter of IFSR) is
published at least twice each year.
The Publications Committee will be chaired by the Editor of The
Scouting Rotarian, who shall be appointed by the Chair with the approval of the
Executive Committee, and shall also include others appointed by the International
Chair as well as Editors of The Link (IFSR-IAR official newsletter), the RIBI newsletter
Editor, and Editors of any other IFSR publications, and IFSR Webmaster.
Regions and Sections are to try to also publish a newsletter twice yearly.
Any IFSR Web Site must be approved by the Executive Committee and
shall contain information approved by that body. The IFSR Web Master shall be
appointed by the Chair, subject to approval by the Executive Committee
g) Archivist/Historian. The IFSR Archivist/Historian will keep the official
record of IFSR and assemble and maintain records of publications, recordings and
other materials of historical significance to IFSR for use by the Membership and/or
Publications Committees or for other IFSR purposes.
