Copa America is the most important continental
championship for South American national teams.
This is the tournament that gathers three of the world's
greatest footballing nations; Brazil, Argentina and
Uruguay who have collectively won 9 FIFA world Cups
between them.
Needless to say, the tournament showcases the excitement and the grace of football in South
America along with the fierce rivalry and deep emotions that are all an integral part of the challenge
for the continent's most important trophy: the Copa America.
First played in 1916, Copa America is the undisputed audience leader in Latin America and was
watched in over 160 countries in 2004.
IN THE SUMMER OF 2007, THERE WILL BE NO OTHER MAJOR SPORTING EVENT TO CATCH

Event Date: 3 Weeks from June 26 to July 15, 2007, Venezuela
Participating Teams: 12 national teams: Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Colombia, Ecuador,
Paraguay, Peru, Uruguay and Venezuela, Mexico (invitee) and the United
States of America (invitee).
