MIAA Accreditation
Recognition in the Meetings, Conventions & Business Events Industry
The Meetings Industry Accreditation process has been in operation since 1993. The Accreditation of
Meetings Managers (AMM) is designed for managers who have been employed in the management of
meetings and conferences for at least three or four years and who are current financial members of MIAA.
MIAA accreditation infers a particular status on the individual's personal achievements in the industry.
In this edition we list all AMM's as at April 2002. The Accredited Meeting Managers (AMM)
undergo a rigorous process to achieve this post nominal. They must provide evidence of continuing
professional education, supply references willing to support their application, successfully complete
an assessment task set by the admissions board or (complete the "Recognition of Prior Learning"
(RPL) process) and also attend a personal interview with members of the AMM Admissions Board.
