MIAA will be providing
an unparalleled opportunity for those who wish to develop their skills and
knowledge in the meetings and business events industry. The Meetings
Management Residential Course covers an extensive and up-to-date
curriculum, and, this year, will be supplemented with a special focus on
managing meetings in the context of venue operations.
The Course is particularly suitable for people working in:
Venues - Operations and Sales/Marketing staff,
Corporate, Government or Association Meetings Management,
Professional Conference Organisers, or Meetings Managers,
Convention Bureaux Staff,
Production, Audio-Visual and Support Staff,
Exhibitions/Special Events personnel,
Travel Industry personnel involved in organising meetings
The Meetings Management Residential Course is designed for those
with less than three years work experience in this industry. It is limited to
30 participants.
The course is highly participative and involves individual work, group
work, and lectures from meetings management specialists. Knowledge
gained during the course is immediately put into practice by working on
case studies and exercises in syndicate groups.
The team of presenters are all experienced meetings industry
professionals with a wealth of practical knowledge.They are selected not
only because of their expertise, but also because of their training and
presentation skills. Their presentations aim to challenge and stimulate.
The integration of theory and practice, business contacts and
camaraderie make this a valuable learning experience, not to be missed.
The Course includes Panel discussions on Industry Issues, and Site Visits
to appropriate Meetings Industry operators.
