Precis
In the largest series published to date, the Ahmed Glaucoma Valve implantation seems to be
an effective treatment for pediatric glaucoma, although patients frequently require
antiglaucoma medications. However, high rate of potentially sight threatening postoperative
complications warrants ongoing close follow-up.
