PART 1 - GENERAL

1.02
SUMMARY:
A.
This Section includes the following:
1.
Sheet aluminum fascia systems.
2.
Aluminum coping.
1.03
RELATED WORK SPECIFIED ELSEWHERE:
A.
Roofing accessories installed integral with roofing membrane are specified in Section 07531 - EPDM Single-Ply
Membrane Roofing.
B.
Metal flashings are specified in Section 07600 - Flashing and Sheet Metal.
C.
Roof hatches are specified in Section 07720 - Roof Accessories.
1.04
SUBMITTALS:
A.
General: Submit the following in accordance with Conditions of Contract and Division 1 Specification Sections.
B.
Product data including manufacturer's technical data, installation instructions and general recommendations for each
product specified. Include data substantiating that materials and performance comply with requirements.
C.
Samples for verification purposes of each type of exposed finish required, prepared on samples of size indicated below
and of same thickness and material indicated for final unit of Work. Provide not less than the following sizes:
1.
Fascia: 8-inch long sections of each distinctively different fascia component exposed as finished work.
2.
Coping: 8 inches long

QUALITY ASSURANCE:
A.
Insurance Requirements: Provide coping systems complying with requirements of Factory Mutual 1-90 test for wind
uplift.
B.
Industry Standards: Provide products which comply with applicable requirements of SMACNA "Architectural Sheet
Metal Manual," except as otherwise indicated.

JOB CONDITIONS:
A.
Coordinate work of this Section with adjoining work for proper sequencing of each installation to ensure best possible
weather resistance and protection of materials and finishes against damage.
