BID PACKAGE SUMMARY
PART 1 - GENERAL
1.01
GENERAL REQUIREMENTS:
A.
Extent of work for each bid package is indicated throughout the Contract Documents (Drawings, Specifications and
Project Manual). Specific requirements indicated on Drawings supercede conflicting requirements in Specifications.
B.
All bid packages include i.) General Conditions of the Owner/Construction Manager Agreement (AIA-A131/CMc -
1994), ii.) Bidding Requirements and iii.) Division 1 - General Requirements.
C.
All bid packages include all labor, materials, equipment, permits, services, inspections, fees and overhead/profit
(including all Federal, State and Local Taxes) necessary to complete the entire work of the bid package.
D.
All bid packages shall include daily clean-up and trash removal (including a proportionate share of the Construction
Manager's dumpster charges).
E.
Certain Specification Sections contain work referenced in more than one bid package (i.e. 06100 - Rough Carpentry).
Each bidder is to include the required work of all Specification Sections necessary for a complete installation of their
bid package.
F.
All work required for a complete installation of the bid package shall be included in each bid whether or not such work is
specifically listed within the description below.
G.
Bidders installing Owner-furnished material must provide quantity take-offs (with field measurements as applicable).
H.
Provide separate Bid Forms for each bid package.
1.02
BID PACKAGES:
A.
Bid Package No. 1 - Sitework:
1.
Reference all documents for extent of sitework. Includes clearing and grubbing; rough and finish grading;
excavation (including compacting and backfilling) for foundations, floor slabs, parking lots, sidewalks, etc.;
spoil removal and disposal; and installation of new underground utility service connections to existing city
utilities (including trenching and backfilling, piping, and meter installation for domestic water, natural gas and
sanitary sewer and storm sewer services) to within 5 feet of the exterior of the building.
B.
Bid Package No. 2 - Paving:
1.
Reference all documents for extent of paving. Includes compacted granular fill for all parking areas, bituminous
concrete paving, painted traffic lines and precast concrete parking stops.
C.
Bid Package No. 3 - Fences and Gates:
1.
Reference all documents for extent of fences and gates. Includes all material and labor associated with
construction of a trash dumpster enclosure on a concrete pad provided by others.
D.
Bid Package No. 4 - Landscaping:
1.
Reference all documents for extent of landscaping. Includes seeding for lawns and grasses and providing
exterior plants.
