POP FOUL/ U.S.A (Director: Moon Molson, 19 minutes)- When a young boy sees his father
take a beating from a local thug, he becomes witness to a series of family betrayals that send him
down his own destructive path in Pop Foul.
SWEETIE/ Scotland (Director: Becky Brazil, 10 minutes)- On a trip home from the
supermarket, a young girl discovers that her mother doesn't always know best in Sweetie.
SHORTS FOR THE ENTIRE FAMILY
IIFF has gathered comedy, drama, life lessons, and a few chills and thrills and wrapped them up in
a nice, family-friendly package with this collection of shorts that can be enjoyed by children of all
ages. Some films in this program deal with themes of death and loss. Parents should judge
whether their young ones are prepared for such subject matter. We debated how to handle
such films, but then realized we all grew up with Bambi and Old Yeller and thought we were
better for it.
BAD BROWN OWL/ Scotland (Director: Zam Salim, 10 minutes)- In Bad Brown Owl,
Brownies Rosie and Bessie uncover the evil plans of their new troop and try to maintain
Brownie law.
HIDDEN CREATURES/ Australia (Director: Emma Humphreys, 28 minutes)- When her

of her own vibrant visions in Hidden Creatures.
MAKING DO/ U.S.A (Director: Mary Tucker, 5 minutes)- In Making Do, a bored eight-year-old
can't get her busy mother's attention and decides to change her focus.
MEAT THE CAMPBELLS/ Scotland (Director: Simon Hynd, 9 minutes)- When Mark hears a
rumor about the dietary habits of the new kid in school, the last thing he wants is to be invited
to dinner in Meat the Campbells, a comedic thriller for kids.
THE RED BALLOON/ U.S.A (Director: Michael Oleson, 4 minutes)- A young boy enlists the
aide of a balloon seller to send his mother a birthday wish in The Red Balloon, a simple story of
loss and longing.
RIDE OF THE MERGANSERS/ U.S.A (Director: Steve Furman, 11 minutes)- Ride of the
Mergansers is a heartwarming blend of nature documentary, humor, and suspense that will
entertain, educate and leave you with a newfound respect for the phrase, "Leap of Faith".
