THE CREEPS
For the first time, IIFF presents a collection of horror shorts filled with suspense, creepy
clowns & critters, a zombie or two, and a splash of gore these films are sure to leave your
spine tingling (and occasionally give your funny bone some work). This program contains
graphic violence, disturbing images, and language and is most definitely not recommended for
children or anyone overly sensitive to such things.
CHINGASO THE CLOWN/ U.S.A (Director: Elias Matar, 16 minutes)- Chingaso the Clown
isn't so much a horror film as it is a mega-violent revenge drama about one angry clown out to
avenge the murder of his parents and bring an end to the decades-long war between mimes and
clowns.
CORPUS INTERRUPTUS/ United Kingdom (Director: Simon Cooper, 10 minutes)- Jason's
got blood on his hands and people keep interrupting him as he tries to clean it off in Corpus
Interruptus a dark comedy about one man's unique way of dealing with disturbances.
HOLLOW/ U.S.A (Director: Paul Bickel, 10 minutes)- Culver, Indiana native Paul Bickel
presents a disturbing journey through one boy's pathology in Hollow, a story of a broken family
and lost innocence.
MAQUINA/ Spain (Director: Gabe Ibáñez 16 minutes)- A young woman's sexual awakening is
interrupted by a disturbing alien implant.
RED HARVEST/ U.S.A (Director: Dylan Griffith, 22 minutes)- Three drug dealers find
themselves on the wrong country road at the wrong time in Hoosier filmmaker (and Butler
University graduate) Dylan Griffith's Red Harvest.
VENOM/Ireland / Czech Republic (Director: John Hayes, 10 minutes) - Angela Gannon is an
elderly widow who lost her beloved husband in the war and her beloved cat to a bee sting.
Vowing never to lose what she loves ever again, Angela wages war with the insect world in
Venom.
Y QUE CUMPLAS MUCHOS MAS/ Spain (Director; David Alcalde, 13 minutes)- Clara, a
social worker uncovers a dark secret while trying to help a child she believes is suffering from
domestic abuse, but no one including Clara is who they appear to be in Y Que Cumplas Muchos
Mas.
THE TIES THAT BIND
Our families make us who we are, for better or for worse. In this collection of shorts, familial
relations are shown in all their glory and in all their darkness.
AT THE END OF THE SENTENCE/ Scotland (Director: Marisa Zanotti, 10 minutes)- A
newspaper editor and his teenage brother arrange a Christmas homecoming for their convict
father in At the End of the Sentence.
CHICXULUB/ U.S.A (Director: Malona P. Voigt, 15 minutes)- Chicxulub is the story of parents
who receive a phone call that their daughter has been involved in a terrible automobile accident.
