fourth generation fisherman and mother of five who has been fighting the petro-chemical
industry and its poisoning ways since 1989 in Texas Gold.
A VERY SMALL TRILOGY OF LONELINESS/ Romania (Director: Bogdan Apetri, 7
minutes)- Three short vignettes examine the same moment from three perspectives (listen for
the brilliant sound design) and create one devastating short story about love and loss.
WALKING OUT ON LOVE/ U.S.A. (Director: Beau Yarrow, 20 minutes)- Walking out on
Love is the story of Jenny,a young woman who, when she isn't trying to keep her fragile family
together, is trying to run her punk rock band. When she gets the chance to leave town, will she
stay or will she go now?
THE WAR/ Spain (Director: Luiso Berdejo, Jorge D. Dorado, 9 minutes)- The horrors of war
are vividly on display in this riveting WWII drama about a French child trying to protect a baby
from a pursuing Nazi soldier.
THE WAY WE PLAYED/ Scotland/Bosnia-Herzegovina (Director: Samir Mehanovic, 14
minutes) - On the eve of war in Bosnia, two boys go looking for treasure. Oblivious to the
encroaching danger, what they discover changes their lives forever.
WELCOME HOME/ New Zealand (Director: Bill Giannakakis, 14 minutes)- Dimitris, a Greek
immigrant, has called New Zealand home for over fifty years but has to deal with racist remarks
towards new immigrants from another Greek immigrant who he has just met and who can't
seem to accept that the world is changing.
