Safeway interior finishes.
W.E. O'Neil Construction
Company of Colorado celebrated
our first anniversary in March. Our
first year included the successful
procurement and completion of
several retail projects that will
serve as a solid foundation for the
future.
A $750,000 structural and
interior upgrade project at the
Tamarac Square Mall served as
our first completed project. This
retail project created 25,000
leasable square feet for the mall
and included the build-out of a
new Ace Hardware store.
Safeway, Inc. awarded a new
55,000 s.f. grocery store to the
Colorado office in June 1999. That
store, located in Falcon, Colorado,
opened March 15 and offers an
attractive shopping experience for
the many homeowners in the
surrounding housing
developments.
In addition to Safeway and
Tamarac Square, we are 80%
complete with a 117,000 s.f. Home
Depot. This project is load-bearing
tilt-up concrete construction with
structural steel roof and canopies.
The project is currently on
schedule for a June 2000 grand
opening, and again, the start of a
long working relationship with a
national retail owner.
The Colorado operation
entered 2000 with $13 million in
backlog, and the future looks
promising. The ability to procure
and build retail projects is
providing a foundation for our
reputation in the Denver market
and will afford us the opportunity
to continue to grow our
organization.
Furthermore, our ability to
generate new work is enhanced by
our national presence and solid
reputation as a quality general
contractor. The support of the
established O'Neil family of
companies is much appreciated,
and we will continue to do our
part to provide the high-quality
services that our customers are
accustomed to.
