for the footings.
Additionally, Mid-Atlantic
placed approximately 140 tons
of reinforcing steel for complete
foundation installation.
This is a 5 month concrete project,
and Mid-Atlantic's vice president,
Cris Piephoff, expects their work to
be completed in late March.
Rodgers Builders is the
construction manager for the high
school, which will accommodate
approximately 2,000 students.

allard Creek High
School in Charlotte is one of the
first schools in the Charlotte/
Mecklenburg School System
to be constructed under new
North Carolina laws allowing
a construction manager at-
risk contract. Mid-Atlantic
Construction is the prime
contractor for the concrete
foundation (bid package 3A).
The bi-level high school has a cast-
in-place retaining wall that runs
through the center separating the
two levels of the building. The wall
