2004 EASTER PROGRAM SPECIALS
WLJN FM 89.9 & WLJN AM 1400
"THE CASE FOR FAITH"
Lee Strobel's previous program The Case For Christ described his two-year investigation of the historical evidence that pointed him, an atheist at the
time, toward the verdict that God really exists and that Jesus actually is his unique son. Strobel, an investigative reporter, went to the leading
scholars and authorities on biblical research and drilled them with facts and questions concerning eyewitness evidence, corroborating evidence,
documentary evidence, scientific evidence, psychological evidence, and other historical proof.. His conclusion: Jesus really is God's one and only
son. Like other skeptics, Strobel determined he needed answers to persuade his intellect and convince his soul before he would be satisfied. In the
same way that he investigated and sought out the answers for the evidences for Jesus in his first book, Strobel's search for satisfying answers for
this program took him from coast to coast, from lofty classrooms of Ivy League philosophers to the seedy hole-in-the-wall offices of ministries to
street kids, from brilliant and degree-laden theologians to the private anguish of hurting people who know pain and suffering firsthand. Strobel once
again makes the journey to determine whether the issues of the skeptics and doubts of the heart destroy the solid reasons he had found for
Christianity. Or confirm it.
"THE MAKING OF EASTER: THE MOVIE"
The Making of Easter, The Movie provides a unique and powerful twist to the glorious story of Christ's crucifixion and resurrection. This 28-minute
special intertwines the breathtaking 2,000-year-old reality of Christ's passion with a modern, couple's tumble toward divorce. Listeners will be
touched and changed in an unexpected, thrilling way!
"WHO IS THIS JESUS?"
Almost 2000 years after Roman soldiers executed a Jewish man who claimed to be God, the mystery remains. Did Jesus Christ-as his followers then
and since have loudly proclaimed-really walk out of the tomb? Or is that claim a fraud or fairy tale? Who Is This Jesus: Is He Risen? Presents
experts--liberal and conservative--who offer surprising insights into the central question on which Christianity stands or falls. Hosted by scholar-
theologian Dr. D. James Kennedy and popular actor Dean Jones, this powerful production features Protestant, Catholic, Jewish, and skeptical
scholars from institutions such as Westminster Abbey, Harvard, Notre Dame, Vanderbilt, the Jesus Seminar, and Princeton. Recorded at a
monastery built in 1141, Who Is This Jesus: Is He Risen? Takes listeners through the maze of theories offered to explain or explain away the
resurrection of Jesus Christ. And it leads them to what is for millions an inescapable conclusion.
"THE PURPOSE DRIVEN LIFE"
The most basic question everyone faces in life is, Why am I here? What is my purpose? Self-help books suggest that people should look within, at
their own desires and dreams, but Rick Warren says the starting place must be with God and his eternal purposes for each life. Real meaning and
significance comes from understanding and fulfilling God's purposes for putting us on earth. The Purpose-Driven Life takes the groundbreaking
message of the award-winning Purpose-Driven Church and goes deeper, applying it to the lifestyle of individual Christians. This program helps
listeners understand God's incredible plan for their lives. Warren enables them to see the big picture of what life is all about and begin to live the life
God created them to live.
