Fire detection and suppression
The DigiPlex Centre is fully monitored and alarmed. Within
conditioned space a special smoke detection system
provides very early warning of a potential fire, enhancing
the protection provided by smoke detectors placed in floor
voids and in ceilings. Customers in these areas have
chosen Argonite gas for fire suppression, but all DigiPlex
customers can specify an appropriate level of monitoring
and suitable fire suppression systems for their needs.
First Aid
Trained first-aiders are always available on site with access
to fully equipped first aid boxes. In the event of an
emergency please call ext. 7860 for assistance and access
to the emergency services. In addition, all accidents,
regardless of outcome, should be reported to the health
and safety officer for recording in an accident book.

Health & Safety
The DigiPlex Centre conforms to statutory health and
safety requirements, with a nominated health and safety
officer on site during normal office hours. We are also
able to offer health and safety expertise as part of our
services, specifying and implementing customer
programmes which ensure full compliance.
Hosting
Hosting means housing, maintaining and monitoring
complete applications on secure independent servers
connected via extensive bandwidth to the internet.
Working in conjunction with strategic partners,
DigiPlex provides a full secure hosting service for
customers on demand. This service is available at
every level from large to small - and comprises all
the elements necessary for a complete application
hosting solution from data and telecomms services,
through to design, fit out and installation and ongoing
`remote hands' support, such as tape swaps and
monitoring. The hosting service is entirely suitable for
either front-line applications or back-up in disaster
recovery or business continuity programmes.
Insurance
The DigiPlex Centre is fully insured at statutory levels
for all perceived risks. Specialist insurance can be
sought for customers requiring additional protection.
IT Housing
This is the term Digiplex uses to describe our secure,
independent environments for systems.
