Access (see also security)
Access to the DigiPlex Centre is 24 x 365. Our 24-hour
security personnel, together with our reception staff,
operate a rigorous identification system to allow access
to customers and their nominated representatives without
compromising security.

Basement and `bunkers'
The DigiPlex Centre has a reinforced `bunker' type basement
with specially reinforced walls, offering a variety of accom-
modation for applications when security is paramount.
Building Management System
The Centre is monitored on a 24 x 365 basis by a
Building Management System, and more importantly, by
people, both on-site and remotely. We monitor fire
alarms, gas fire suppression, leak detection, access
systems, environmental systems and power as standard.
Building specification
For a detailed technical specification of our Centre,
please refer to the separate datasheet provided with this
guide or request a copy.
Cages and racks
A rack is simply a suitable mount for telecomms and IT
equipment such as servers, routers and peripherals.
DigiPlex can provide single or multiple rack spaces.
A single rack is mounted in a shared room in an anony-
mous locked and secure cabinet. For those who need
several racks with some private space for servicing, racks
are normally placed in a private cage in a shared room.
The cage is supplied with independent access control
and alarm functions. Cages are normally supplied at
sizes of between 20 m
2
and 100 m
2
.
Car parking
Within our secure perimeter fencing there are approxi-
mately 60 car parking spaces reserved for
customers and those who work in the Centre. All external
areas are monitored with closed circuit television and
movement detection.
Carrier connectivity rooms
(see also connectivity and carriers)
These rooms facilitate the connectivity our customers
require for confidence in their applications. They provide
a point of presence for carriers already within our Centre
