WMET Outreach Efforts:
A. WMET has conducted a program by which employees receive training in areas
outside of their regular job in an effort to prepare them for future advancement in the
WMET and/or the broadcasting industry. For example: sales department employees
are trained and exposed to programming elements and development; programmers
were trained in sales and marketing. On-going in-house training was given to sales
staff during the reporting period.
B. WMET maintains an unpaid internship, which is designed to expose the participating
individual to all aspects of radio broadcasting. Job responsibilities vary depending on
the needs of the period of internship. Tasks for the intern may include office filing,
reception, copy-writing, promotion activities, research. The hours are generally part-
time on a temporary basis.
C. WMET lists upper-level openings in a job bank of a media trade group whose
membership includes substantial participation of women and minorities.
D. WMET airs the following announcement regularly: "From time to time, WMET

www.wmet1160.com for opportunities and current employment information. WMET
