Deform Modifiers
Deform modifiers are transform settings (such as scale, twist, bevel, teeter,
and deform/fit) that are applied to cross-sectional shapes as they are swept
along a path. In other words, they modify an otherwise straightforward
sweep object. This enables you to vary the size and orientation of the cross-
sections, as in the bellows of the accordion-like Wertmizer musical instru-
ment from Zork:Nemesis (see Figure 4.6).
