Buildings
City Care provides a full maintenance and refurbishment service
for building owners. We employ a variety of tradespeople
carpenters, painters, electricians, plumbers and sign-writers
to provide these services.
Specialist services City Care offers include the restoration of
heritage buildings, removal of graffiti and assessment and
reporting on the condition of clients' asset portfolios.
Grounds
As the gardener for the Garden City's parks and reserves,
City Care has a wealth of skill and experience in grounds
maintenance. Many of our staff working in this area have
qualifications in amenity horticulture, sports turf, agrichemical
application and arboriculture. Our range of capabilities extends
to providing advice on tree health, maintaining rivers using
our mechanical weed-harvester, performing sexton duties,
completing waterway habitat restoration projects and cleaning
up contaminated sites.
Water and Waste Water
City Care maintains the critical water and wastewater networks
that supply approximately one million New Zealanders. We
construct new water and waste water assets, operate and
maintain treatment plants and pumping stations, carry out
responsive and planned maintenance of the pipe networks and
do flood prevention work on drainage systems. Our skilled staff
include drainlayers, CCTV operators, water and waste water
service technicians and electrical and mechanical engineers.
We have specialised technologies that enable our staff to
tap into live mains, and repair pipes by grouting or patch
lining. These technologies minimise disruption to users of the
services and the general public. Our staff also carry out asset
investigation using CCTV cameras, smoke testing and other
diagnostic techniques.
Roads
Building and maintaining roads is a core activity for City Care.
We own an extensive fleet of heavy construction equipment,
including bitumen sprayers, street sweepers and pavers,
to serve this infrastructure sector. We have a large pool of
experienced roading engineers and many of our roading staff
are converting experience and skills to qualifications through
recognition of previous learning and supplementary industry
training.
City Care operates an asphalt plant which produces a full range
of hot and cold mixes. The company also has its own IANZ-
accredited civil engineering laboratory.
OUR BUSINESS
City Care is in the business of construction and maintenance of infrastructure and amenity assets
throughout New Zealand, and provision of associated asset management services.
Our clients include local government and other significant asset owners such as educational
institutions and government departments. The company also provides services to other contracting
organisations and private individuals.
The range of work that City Care is involved in means we are allied to a number of different
industry groups.
