Training
City Care spent 1% of company revenue on staff training during
the year, the same percentage as last year. This equates to
$1160 per employee per year.
181 staff were actively studying towards trades or higher
qualifications at the end of the year.
The success of our training policy is beginning to become more
apparent with 38 staff being awarded new qualifications at Level
3 or above during the year. This, in conjunction with effective
recruitment strategies, has resulted in a dramatic increase in
the number of qualified staff employed by the company. At the
end of June 2005, 25% of City Care's staff held a qualification at
National Certificate Level 3 or above, 79 more than at the same
time last year.
Management training
City Care continued to develop its management training
programme, offering the first stage of an Executive Development
programme during the year. The focus for 2005 is on developing
future leaders within the organisation.
