pay. His own contribution to medical insurance and union fees
resulted in deductions of $728. PAYE was $6261, leaving a nett
income of $24,124 p.a., which equates to $463.94 per week
to take home. As a comparison, the take home benefit for an
unemployed couple with two children is currently $280.96
per week.
The take home pay of this year's LAE is 12.1% higher than last
year, although the total remuneration package is less because
this individual is not eligible for company-funded contributions to
superannuation.
Note e
The median remuneration for all City Care employees in the
financial year was $41,245, up from $38,878 in 2004. This
represents a 6% increase.
Staff satisfaction
Every year in November, City Care carries out a staff satisfaction
survey. The total average staff satisfaction score was 7.1 out of
10, a slight drop from last year's figure of 7.4. Interestingly, we
scored better this year than we did in the previous year on nearly
all the questions which were the same in both surveys.
