Andrew Oliver, Wastewater Foreman, Tauranga
Andrew Oliver enjoys the variety of his role at City
Care. He says no two days are the same when it
comes to organising his team of eight staff members
as well as various plant items to meet the demands
of both scheduled and reactive maintenance work.
Andrew's previous career history includes a role
as Logistics Manager for hazardous waste removal
company Nuplex Environmental in Auckland, as
well as 10 years working for Abbotts Drainage, a
company which specialised in unblocking drains.
Andrew was a Foreman for fi ve of the years he spent
with Abbotts.
Andrew and his wife and two children moved from
Auckland to the sunny Bay of Plenty in June 2003
after he successfully applied for the position with
City Care, which he'd seen advertised in the New
Zealand Herald. "The whole family is enjoying the
change of lifestyle", says Andrew.
