Mark Roberts - Business
Development Manager, Amenity
Horticulture, Auckland
(centre)
Mark Roberts and his Auckland-
based team have grown City
Care's new Auckland amenity
horticulture operation to an annual
turnover of $750,000 in just
18 months.
Mark brings more than 25 years
experience in the horticulture
industry to the City Care team and
prides himself on his passion for
his work and appreciation of
his clients.
"It is very much a people
industry...the customer has a
problem and we have to take that
problem and solve it."
Key successes for Mark and
his team to date have been
securing a long-term streetscape
maintenance contract for
North Shore City Council and
becoming a preferred supplier
for landscaping projects at 120
properties owned by health-based
housing supplier Spectrum Care in
the Auckland region.
He says that, while very rewarding,
the journey has not been easy.
"We are still perceived as a
Christchurch company. Some
people don't think we are big
enough but I say to them `help us
get bigger'."
