City Care - Performance Report 2004
SEP-03: Andre Fourie awarded a
level 4 national certificate in Civil
Construction Works Supervisor.
City Care's Vision and Values provide motivational and ethical guidance for employees. The Vision statement
remains unchanged since it was formulated in 2000, but this year the Values have been revised and slightly
expanded to include characteristics typical of high performance organisations.
Customer Driven
In everything we do we consider
the impact this will have on our
customers. We develop and
maintain close personal contact
with our key clients so that they are
better informed. We listen to our
customers to seek out their current
and future needs and tailor our
services accordingly. We rapidly
resolve customer complaints.
We help customers understand
our business.
Professional Behaviour
We listen to each other and we
never put one another down. We
appreciate people's individuality
and we acknowledge that there
must be a balance between
employees' work and private lives.
We educate, train, mentor and
coach others whenever we can.
We trust people. We are honest
and polite. We behave consistently,
and openly share information.
We behave like no one is more
important than anyone else in the
organisation. We take responsibility.
Highly Informed
We measure the things we wish
to manage. We don't assume.
We create information systems
that meet the needs of all
decision-makers. We manage
the whole company as a system
of interconnecting parts. We set
specific goals based on strategic
and operational plans, and manage
performance against those goals.
We reward for performance. We
keep up to date with industry and
technology trends.
Improving and Adapting
Every day we aim to get better at
what we do. We resolve problems
by fixing the cause as well as the
symptoms. We remain agile and
retain talented staff so that we can
rapidly respond to market changes
and opportunities for growth.
We are prepared to take risks.
We are positive and we make things
happen. We deal with issues. We
continually look for improvement
in our own knowledge, skills,
creativity, motivation and
performance, and in the way the
company does things.
We are innovative.
Responsible and Sustainable
We manage our company's
activities in a way that
recognises the three pillars of
sustainable development - social,
environmental and economic
responsibilities. We seek
sustainable growth through a focus
on the future and a willingness
to make long-term commitments
to our stakeholders. We have
transparent reporting structures
that measure our performance in
maximising shareholder value, the
ethical treatment of our employees,
and our effect on the wider
community and the environment.
To be regarded by our
Customers Competitors Employees and Shareholder as the best in the business.
