VERY IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
All vendors need to remember that the goal of this event is to allow people
to sample and taste the food from as many vendors as possible. Portions
must be small!
All vendors will be required to offer a smaller taste-size portion of at least one of their main
selling items. The price for this item must be 1 or 2 tickets (value $1.00 to $2.00). Restaurants
will be required to participate in the "Taste of" program during all hours of the event. YOU ARE
NOT ALLOWED TO LEAVE EARLY!
KEY RULES AND REGULATIONS:
* Restaurant participants may not sell food for cash. Any participant who violates this rule will
be closed down. All food sales will be by TASTE OF GRAND RAPIDS tickets only.
* Restaurant participants may sell soft drinks and water designated by the Official Soft Drink
and Water Sponsor of TASTE OF GRAND RAPIDS, which is Pepsi and their subsidiaries.
Alcohol may not be sold.
* Restaurant participants may not sell any novelty items in their TASTE OF GRAND RAPIDS
booths (i.e. t-shirts, etc.).
* Restaurant participants and their employees must maintain the highest degree of cleanliness
and professionalism in their booths and on the TASTE OF GRAND RAPIDS grounds at all
times.
* TASTE OF GRAND RAPIDS restaurants may be called upon to participate in pre-event
promotions prior to the 2005 TASTE OF GRAND RAPIDS.
* Restaurant participants who do not maintain all necessary standards may be ticketed and
fined by the Kent County Health Department and future participation in TASTE OF GRAND
RAPIDS will be in jeopardy.
* Restaurant participants are responsible for securing any and all necessary equipment for
their operation. All equipment must meet Kent County Health Department safety and health
standards. Fire extinguishers will be required.
* Menu prices or signs may not be altered during the event. Any alterations will result in your
booth being closed for the day.
