CHOOSING APPLICANTS:
Restaurants will have the opportunity of being selected based on demand for their chosen
menu items, menu ethnicity, and their ability to sustain both the TASTE OF GRAND RAPIDS
and their home base operation. Applicants will be evaluated prior to selection for the proper
sanitation, certification and the ability to produce high volume sales.
For a restaurant to demonstrate it can effectively perform outdoors, its year-round operation
should reflect the highest possible standards in terms of sanitation, food handling, and
personnel training.
COSTS FOR PARTICIPATION:
The application fee is $400.00 payable to Clear Channel Radio.
Additionally, a 10% commission will be deducted from gross sales.
EXAMPLE FOR RESTAURANT X:
Total Gross Ticket Sales: $5,000.00
- 500.00 (10% Event Commission)
=$4,500.00 Net to Restaurant
Included in the $400.00 application fee and 10% event commission are the
following: -15' wide x 30' deep tent canopy
- Limited electric power (1-110 volt, 20 amp hook up). Lighting
for evening hours will not be provided. You will need to bring
your own lighting.
Vendors are not allowed to accept cash. All menu prices should include sales tax and be in
multiples of one dollar ($1.00). No menu item may exceed five dollars ($5.00). When you are
creating your menu items, you should remember that the item is a sample. The concept is to
provide attendees with a sample of your product, not a full dinner portion.
Vendors must apply for a temporary food license.
