registration as a retired physician pursuant to section 1 of P.L.1971,
c.236 (C.45:9-6.1) shall not be required to pay the fee; and
(b) each podiatrist licensed in this State pursuant to the provisions of
R.S.45:5-1 et seq.
Fees imposed pursuant to this paragraph shall be payable on or before
July 1 of each calendar year and shall be remitted to the board and
credited by the State Treasurer to the fund.
(3) The State Board of Chiropractic Examiners shall assess an
annual fee in the amount of $50 payable by each chiropractor licensed in
this State pursuant to the provisions of P.L.1989, c.153 (C.45:9-41.17 et
al.).
Fees imposed pursuant to this paragraph shall be payable on or
before July 1 of each calendar year and shall be remitted to the board and
credited by the State Treasurer to the fund.
(4) The New Jersey State Board of Dentistry shall assess an annual
fee in the amount of $50 payable by each dentist licensed in this State
pursuant to the provisions R.S. 45:6-1 et seq.
Fees imposed pursuant to this paragraph shall be payable on or
before July 1 of each calendar year and shall be remitted to the board and
credited by the State Treasurer to the fund.
(5) The New Jersey State Board of Optometrists shall assess an
annual fee in the amount of $50 payable by each optometrist licensed in
this State pursuant to the provisions R.S. 45:12-1 et seq.
Fees imposed pursuant to this paragraph shall be payable on or
before July 1 of each calendar year and shall be remitted to the board and
credited by the State Treasurer to the fund.
(6) The New Jersey State Board of Accountancy shall assess an
annual fee in the amount of $50 payable by each certified public
accountant and public accountant licensed in this State pursuant to the
provisions of P.L. 1997, c. 259 (C.45:2B-43 et seq.).
Fees imposed pursuant to this paragraph shall be payable on or
before July 1 of each calendar year and shall be remitted to the board and
credited by the State Treasurer to the fund.
(7) The State Treasurer shall assess an annual fee in the amount of
$50, payable by each person licensed to practice law in this State. The
provisions of this paragraph shall not apply to attorneys who: are
constitutionally or statutorily barred from the practice of law; can show
that they do not maintain a bona fide office for the practice of law in this
State; are completely retired from the practice of law; are on full-time
duty with the armed forces, VISTA or the Peace Corps and not engaged
in practice; are ineligible to practice law because they have not make
their New Jersey Lawyers' Fund for Client Protection payment; or have
not practiced law for at least one year.

38. (New section) There is established the "Medical Care Availability
Task Force."
a. The task force shall consist of 11 members as follows:
(1) the Commissioners of Banking and Insurance, Health and Senior
Services and Human Services, or their designees, who shall serve ex
officio;
(2) the Administrative Director of the Courts, or his designee, who
shall serve ex officio; and
