winners Dave and Ed, are also the
recipients of this weeks, site of the
week.
As perm tenters, Dave and Ed have
had the opportunity to enhance
their tenting experience by creating
one of the most equipped , and
attractive tent sites to grace our
campground.
Not settling for one tent and a fire
ring, they have constructed what
may look like a village, but is actu-
ally a highly functional multi tent
living space.
Nicknamed "the compound",
the site features a three-room
"living tent", a screen house
"dining tent" and a complete
"kitchen tent" that houses a
fully functional food prepara-
tion area.
Not only is the site equipped,
but also attractively designed
and laid out, with non-
indigenous plants gracing the
entrance area of the site
Even though they are tenters it's
hard to say they are "roughing it"
because these guys know how to
camp, and camp very well. Way to
go guys!
simple. Tickets are sold at $1 each
or 10 for $5.
Later in the evening a winning
ticket is drawn. That winner re-
ceives 50% of the funds received,
while the remaining 50% goes to
our fund to cover costs of our
events.
At times gift prizes are donated and
additional winning tickets are
Most campground events held at
Rainbow Woods are created inter-
nally by our seasonal campers. In
order to sponsor these events, and
keep them free of charge for all
campers, funds must be raised. We
do this by running weekly 50/50
Raffles at the bonfire on Saturday
nights.
The concept of the 50/50 raffle is
drawn.
Even though these funds
are essential to maintain
our events no one is ever
required or expected to
participate in our drawings.
But your help is very much
appreciated.
Thanks to all who partici-

out of the car into traffic. Coinci-
dentally a certain campground
owner was part of the oncoming
traffic, who stopped and grabbed
the curious canine from danger.
Rumor has it there are polite driv-
ers in the campground. A late night
rendezvous was interrupted by
bright headlights. Sources say the
polite driver apologized and imme-
diately switched to parking lights.
Hardcore gossip is hard to find, and
we'd like to keep it that way... so a
final note to couples... Play by your
rules or don't play at all. If you
don't have rules make them... It
makes a better camping experience
for all of us.
A certain younger recurring visitor,
who previously kept to himself,
finally let loose and surprised other
campers this weekend while he
danced, and opened up in more
ways than one.
Disaster was avoided during a
breakfast/flea market trip taken by a
group of 7 campers and 1 small
dog. Sources say, that on one of the
stops the precocious pooch jumped
