Fireworks Give Campers A Bang
Our resident pyrotechnical
camper, Jeff, once again came
through this year, and pre-
sented a wonderful fireworks
show.
Jeff spent time meticulously
configuring the display which
came complete with music.
While the show was scheduled
for 9 PM on Saturday evening,
the determination was made
to hold the show until a
slightly darker 9:20 PM to
maximize the effect of the
show.
The show was a very healthy
display which lit the skies over
the river between our camp-
ground, Rainbow Woods and
our neighboring campground,
On The River.
While the weather was a con-
cern, sprinkles gave way to a
cool and comfortable night and
the show went off without a
hitch.
The classical music which ac-
companied the show fit the
huge display.
Campers who did not see Jeff's
display last year, were as-
tounded when their expecta-
tions were exceeded by the
professional quality of the
display that was presented. A
display that rivaled any fire-
works display that they have
ever seen, all in the intimate
environment of Rainbow
Woods.

appetites were fulfilled with
everything from steak and
eggs to fresh fruit and coffee.

Once again Lyall's excel-
lent event planning skills
resulted in a wonderful

amount of campers who vis-
ited the area to inspect the
damage themselves.
Mother Nature's wonders
have a way of attracting others
to our campground.
The forces of nature were
clearly presented this week-
end, when on Friday during a
short but strong thunder-
storm, lightning struck in Rain-
bow Woods.
While the lightning strike did
manage to startle some, espe-
cially those camping near the
area, no one was hurt and no
trees fell.
